Here are the specs for the computer I am building. If any technical people want to look these over, I’d appreciate any feedback. I think these parts go together, but I could use a second pair of eyes.

Based on some feedback I got from Google+, I am going to go with the i7-3770 CPU (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116502) and the Antec Twelve Hundred case (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129100)

I had forgotten to update the power supply. I think when I was ready to purchase the Gaming Series, it had been discontinued, so I had to quickly research another one, and I forgot to update it here.

My computer parts came today! The case is humongous! It’s only slightly bigger than Clint’s case, but it looked gigantic when it was still in the box. Even when I took it out of the box, it seems huge.
I have this tiny little SSD drive and I found out I have options where I can put it. The case has a built-in space for it on the very bottom, and the motherboard came with a front USB panel that includes space for the SSD drive. I think I’ll put the SSD drive in the space in the case instead of the USB panel.

My computer is slowly coming along!
My new harddrive arrived today. Western Digital 2TB Caviar Black.
I am very impressed with it!

Just found your blog by accident. Make sure you update that Crucial SSD to the latest firmware from their website. If it has old firmware in it, after 5000 hours of power on time it will suddenly lockup exactly an hour after being turned on or rebooted.
Otherwise a nice system. Enjoy.

Wow. Thanks for the tip. I had verified that I had the latest firmware at the time I built the computer at the beginning of November, but your comment made me check again, and I see they released a firmware update yesterday. Hmmm.
